At Billings Christian School, our vision statement is “Grounded in Biblical truth and academic excellence, we teach, train, and mentor individuals for a lifetime of learning, leadership, and service”. Our mission is to provide a superior Christian education that is consistent with Biblical principles as we partner with families and their churches for a lifetime pursuit of excellence and integrity under the Lordship of Christ.
Our task as Christian educators is to join you as parents and your church in shaping and molding our students using a Biblical Worldview. A worldview is the framework of beliefs that help us interpret what we see and experience, and it also gives us direction in the choices we will make as we live out each day. As Christians, we know God is Creator of all, and He should be at the core of everything we think, say, and do, because all things point back to Him. Our worldview shapes our values, which shape our behavior, which also shapes our culture.
At Billings Christian School and as Christians, we are called to “overseed” the gospel. In 2 Corinthians 9:6, 10, God’s Word says, “6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously…. 10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.” The harvest is directly connected to the amount of seed the sowers scatter. Our “overseeding” of God’s Word, at school, home, church, and in our communities and world should be regularly and generously, not erratically and sparingly. It is not the carefully placed seed that grows. We scatter the seeds and trust God to water it and make it grow.
